- This episode is named after the Allmans Brothers Band song, "Whipping Post."
- After Space Ghost says "Stupid Zorak", Dennis asks "Which one is Zorak? Tom Servo?" Tom Servo is actually a robot that acts as a main character on the movie critiquing program, Mystery Science Theatre 3000.
- A William Street sticker can be seen on the Post Office Worker's right arm.
